The PNGTIA is a non-profit organization incorporated on the 24 January 2001 with the primary objective to develop, promote, encourage and stimulate the tourism industry in Papua New Guinea and its associated services in partnership with the industry stakeholders including association members, government agencies, private sector, NGOs, communities both internationally and within PNG.

The PNGTIA is administered by committee members elected by its industry members. There are seven committee members.

Why should I join?
Being made up of Travel, Tourism and Transport Professionals there is a tremendous business advantage in joining the PNGTIA. Our members come together to discuss issues and themes with legislative representatives, in order to improve our industry as a whole. Newsflash:

Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was a milestone in Papua New Guinebetween the PNGTIA and TPA was announced and featured on local TV station, EMTV and local newspapers Post Courier and the National. The Governor General of Papua New Guinea is the patron of the PNGTIA This was announced on the local media.
