Papua New Guinea relies on air transport probably more than any other country in the world and its rugged terrain extending from its coastal areas to its highlands. It has one International Airport in Port Moresby, the nations capital. Port Moresby provides air connections to all of the world's major cities, with direct flights to the Australia, Solomon Islands, Singapore, Philipines and Hong Kong. Cairns (CNS) and  Brisbane (BNE) are accesed by both Air Niugini and Airlines PNG, while Sydney (SYD), Singapore (SIN), Manila (MNL), Hong Kong (HKG), Honiara (HIR) and Nadi (NDI) have direct flight by Air Niugini only.

AIR NIUGINI
The national flag carrier flies to nearly all destinations in Papua New Guinea. Air Niugini's modern fleet of aircraft comprises Fokker F-100, F-28 jets and Dash 8 aircraft that suit the requirements of flying within the unique and challenging Papua New Guinean terrain, and a Boeing 767 jet for international routes.

AIRLINES OF PAPUA NEW GUINEA
Airlines PNG is one of this country's two major International and Domestic airline servicing more than 120 aerodromes, often in remote locations without any alternative means of transport, with over 400 scheduled and charter flights per week.
